· Completed two years of articles of clerkship at Bowman Gilfillan Attorneys (now trading as Bowmans);


· After being admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa, practised as an attorney at Bowman Gilfillan Attorneys for two years.


· Completed the customary year of pupillage at The Cape Bar under the mentorship of Adv. Wege van Niekerk.


· After admission as an Advocate of the High Court of South Africa and completion of pupillage at The Cape Bar (The General Council of the Bar), practised as a member of The Cape Bar for 5 years and 5 months and now (from the date of resignation - 31 March 2022, with effect from 1 May 2022 - from The Cape Bar) continues to practise as a member of the South African Bar Association as an Advocate, registered with the Legal Practice Council as a practising Advocate of the High Court of South Africa. Currently also the Chairman of the Executive Committee of High Court Chambers Cape Town.

· The Chapter Award by the Golden Key International Honourary Society at the University of Johannesburg (award given to the top 3 students in the University of Johannesburg for their academic and extra-curricular work);

· The René Bekker Attorneys prize for Insolvency Law;


· The Elsabe Steenhuizen prize for Applied Legal Studies (Clinical Component);


· The Phatshoane Henry Group Cum Laude Gold Medal;


· “Top achievers award” at the University of Johannesburg in 2007.
